Nepal Meat, Poultry & Livestock - Regulations & Standards
The Department of Food Tecnology and Quality Control under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has the responsibility for food development and food control systems. Nepal has reviewed its food law according to Codex and SPS Agreements. Nepal has formed the National Codex Committee which includes representatives of ministries, industry and consumers. Consumers are given due priority in standard setting at the national level.
